Employee Status

The Employee Status codes for the corporation are set up on this screen. Examples of status codes are Active, Leave of Absence, Terminated, and Maternity Leave. Each employee is appointed a status code, which determines calculations processing. System licensing is based on the number of employees with a Status with a classification of Active and TimeID.

The classification field determines how employees assigned to an employee status code are processed and/or displayed on reports. For example, many calculations only include employees assigned a status code with a Classification set to Active. Employees assigned status codes with the Classification set to Terminated may be excluded from reporting totals.

For information about the Terminated status and employee terminations, see Employee termination and status processing.
