Exception Messages
The Exception Messages button opens a screen to view the default exception messages and to add, edit, and/or delete custom messages when an exception is generated.
Exception messages are generated when a user needs to take further action in order to continue with the action they were attempting. The message gives more information on what is required of the user. For example, an exception message is generated when a user tries to log into the system without entering the correct user name and password. The default message is "User does not exist in the system". If another message is entered in the User Defined Message field, that message is displayed instead. The message can be updated to read, "User name or password is incorrect. Please re-enter the information".
