Viewing the Self Schedule Screen
The Self Schedule screen is divided into the following sections:
-
The upper section in the main viewing screen displays My Schedule for the currently selected employee. The assigned activity codes are listed in the cells of the indicated date. Additional activity codes can be entered if there is a drop down listing available in the Add line.
-
The lower section in the main viewing screen displays the Employee Schedules, which includes all employees in the currently open organization unit and their assigned activity codes.
-
The Current Display settings in the left pane determine the scheduling period, organization unit, and profile displayed.
Range:
The self schedule screen automatically opens to the scheduling period that overlaps the current date, as displayed in the Range field. Scroll to past or future scheduling periods by selecting the left or right arrows.
Organization Units:
If the employee is assigned to positions in multiple labor distributions, a drop down menu of available organization units is displayed. The profile options available are determined by this setting.
Profile:
If the employee has profile permission to more than one profile in the selected organization unit, a drop down menu of available profile options is displayed. The information displayed in the My Schedule area--and the profile that is assigned to the employee--is determined by the selected profile code.
Note
The order the profiles are displayed on this drop down menu is determined by Profile Parameter SS Solution Standard 1.
Coverage Period:
The Employee Filter can limit the employees on the Employee Schedules area of the screen to those profiles and/or coverage periods selected in the filter.
-
Check the box to the left of Profile to display only the employees whose profiles match the Profile selected in the drop down menu under Current Display. Also displayed are employees who do not have the selected profile but who have assigned activity codes that match the Profile selected in the drop down menu.
Note
When an employee whose profile matches the profile selected or when an employee has even one activity code that matches the profile selected, all activity codes will appear for that employee, even those that do not match the selected profile.
-
Check the box to the left of Coverage Period to display only the coverage period selected in the Coverage Period drop down menu.
-
In the My Schedule section, only the staffing needs for the selected coverage period appear.
-
In the Employee section, only employees appear who have at least one assigned activity code that overlaps the selected coverage period.
Note
When an employee has at least one activity code that overlaps the selected coverage period, all activity codes will display for that employee, even those that do not overlap the coverage period.
Note
If the selected coverage period uses the coverage period parameter SS Solution Standard Alpha 1: Determines applied shift for reports, then all employees who have a Shift Code on their labor distributions that match the parameter and all their assigned activity codes will appear in the Employee section, regardless of whether any of their activity codes overlap the coverage period. For example, on the Day coverage period, the SS Solution Standard Alpha 1 parameter is set to 1, indicating Day is the first shift. Any employees who have a Shift Code of 1 on their labor distributions and all their assigned activity codes will appear in the Employee section when the Day coverage period is selected.
