Authorization roles

There are two standard roles used with Employee Sign Off:

Determine role assignments

  1. Determine who will set up, administer, and manage the feature.

    For instructions, see Assign the authorization roles to employees below.

  2. Determine if the Employee Sign Off feature is to be assigned to individual employees or to an entire organization unit, such as a department or a facility.

Assign the authorization roles to employees

To assign a role to employees:

  1. Click the Employee section.

  2. Search for and open the desired employees' records.

  3. Under Employee Sections in the left area, click Roles.

  4. Under Role Actions in the left area, click Add.

  5. Click in the Authorization Role Code field, scroll through the Field Look Up Values in the right area, and select the TA Employee (Signoff/Unsignoff) or the TA Administrator role (or their equivalent replicated roles).

    The Authorization Role Code field updates with the name of the role.

  6. Click Save.

  7. If you opened more than one employee in step 2, click the right arrow in the Employee Navigator section to move to the next employee and repeat steps 4 - 7.

Assign the authorization role to organization units

To assign the TA Employee (Signoff/Unsignoff) role to organization units:

  1. Click Configuration > Organization Unit > Organization Unit.

  2. Search for and open the desired organization units' records.

  3. Under Organization Unit Sections in the left area, click Roles.

  4. Under Role Actions in the left area, click Add.

  5. Click in the Authorization Role Code field, scroll through the Field Look Up Values in the right area, and select the TA Employee (Signoff/Unsignoff) role (or the equivalent replicated role).

    The Authorization Role Code field updates with the name of the role.

  6. Click Save.

  7. If you opened more than one organization unit in step 2, click the right arrow in the Organization Unit Navigator section to move to the next organization unit and repeat steps 4 - 7.
