Notification Method
These preferences determine which methods you use for the following types of notifications:

Non-subscription notifications
These notifications do not require an intentional action by you to subscribe to them and are triggered automatically in the following situations:

Password expiration warning
This notification is sent to you alerting you that your password is about to expire. This type of notification only applies when your system is set up for system authentication, rather than LDAP or SSO.

System license compliance
This notification is sent to license administrators when system license counts approach or exceed license limits. For more information, see System Licensing.

Employee transaction modification
This notification is sent to you if you started a Retro Calculator job and an employee's transaction was modified that may have an effect on the retro job in progress.

Education transaction entry
This notification is sent to you if you submitted an education transaction that either was successful or failed.

Mandatory event subscription notifications
These notifications do not require an intentional action by you to subscribe to them and are triggered automatically for event subscriptions set up as mandatory. For example, there might be a mandatory event subscription that alerts you when a clocking or calendar request's status is changed by a manager or when a self-scheduling period opens.
Setting preferences for notification methods
To set preferences for notification methods, complete the following steps.

Navigate to

Select the methods you prefer for receiving notifications.

Portal: Notifications appear on your Home screen in the My Unread Messages card.

Email: Notifications are sent to the active email addresses entered in your employee record.
You are sent emails only during the time frame set up in the Availability field associated with your configured email addresses. If the notification is sent outside the Availability time frame, the notification is sent as a portal notification.

Push: This method is used only by the Employee Schedule Update notification and the Self Scheduling Opening and Closing Notifications to send push notifications to employees' mobile phones. Click Save.
Resetting preferences
This option resets your preferences back to the defaults.

Click the Reset button.
